Frontenac Vintage Ride
My buddy and I decided to hunt down a vintage ride that we knew nothing about where there was at least some snow to ride the old ones before it becomes too late. We found a show in Frontenac, MN along the bluffs in southern Minnesota that had a groomed trail to ride on and even some hills to climb. We had a great time and the event was well run. We are already putting it on our calendar for next year. Hope to see some more Deere represented next year.

Looks great. How many miles were put on? Number of sleds at the event?

Re: Frontenac Vintage Ride
There were about 120 sleds at the event. The ride went around the Frotenac golf course and it was only about 8 miles in length. My buddy and I ran it with the pack and when everyone went into the clubhouse for the awards ceremony he and I went back out and hit the trail 2 more times. We did a lot of hill climbing and unfortunately the Liquifire didn't make it up the steep hill and my buddy's Skiroule RTX 440 made it all the way. In a way I got skirouled.

The Frontenac Golf Coarse is connected to the groomed trail system (snow permitting). From the golf coarse you can go toward Hay Creek or back toward the town of Mt. Frontenac or Lake City. The town only a few miles away and Lake City is probably about 10 miles. Hay Creek I think is also about 10 miles, maybe a few more. We rode 3 sleds there this year and the trails were actually pretty good, just a few grassy spots.
