Rob get some pictures up of this snowfire lol! Great thing about deere is they gave us several models for anyone to sort of gravitate to! I think all off us want Cannon back lol but it keeps sounding like that just wont be happening soon unfortunately.

Thank you guys. Feels good to be home again. Don, are you still selling the od Snowfire and Sprintfire parts? As soon as I get a few $$$ under my belt, I am starting the restoration of the Snowfire, and will likely need a few items as I go along. I know I am going to need a rear skid shock forsure!!...Rob.

Rob we have very little Spit/Snow/Sprint parts to be honest. As a Canadian you have a great advantage because I think the best assortment of shocks are from Royal Distributing. You just take the measurements and look in their catalog.

Thanks Don. I am actually not far from Royal distributing, but I wanted to see if I could find an AM PART numbered shock for this Snowfire. But if push comes to shove, then I will have to match the shock up as close as possible. Wanted show quality results on this one when I get going on it. Years back I got an NOS Spinfire shock from you and it lasted longer than the aftermarket shocks...Rob.

robtan88 wrote:Hi Guys. Well after a lot of long distance phone calls after my old Snowfire showed its face on kijiji, and a lot of support from fellow vintage snowmobile friends, I was able to come to an agreement with the seller, and bought my Snowfire back!! She is home and here to stay. It was an uphill battle all the way, but I won. It is going no-where!!...Rob.
Rob !
I actually just yelled F****N RIGHT !!! at my computer screen and my wife came in and said what is going on ??

That is so good to hear that it all came out to the way if should. Ya know so many guys here said keep the faith. And it did work out.
Save up some dough and get on the thing. I will watch out for a windshield for you in my travels.

Again great news .
Thanx Dave

Hey Rob.
If it gets done great if not still great just to have it. You are already half way to greatness Rob !!
I know the feeling to get something back that has a lot of sentimental value. It is a special thing when it happens. Been there...
Almost as excited as you are.

I meant to ask you...that guy ever restore that Liquifire you got from me ?

Dave. Yes that Liquifire did get restored to perfection. Last I heard he had sold it to a collector that just had to have it, and as far as I know its out in Ottawa now. (from the west to the east)...lol. These John Deeres do travel!!...Rob.
