For new members:
The Snowmobile Hall of Fame in St. Germain, WI hosts an annual event called the Ride With the Champs. Since 2007, this event has become an annual unofficial get-together for members of JDsleds.com. Many people travel from around the country to ride their John Deere in the north woods of Wisconsin every year.
Events:
Friday before the RWTC
Loose Lugnutz/Cameron Amber Memorial Poker Run: This is not an official Hall of Fame event, but does start from the HoF. This is a good shakedown run to make sure your sled is ready for the Saturday ride. It is fairly short at around 30 miles, and stops at several local bar/restaurants, so you have plenty of time to make adjustments if needed, as well as meet people, talk sleds, etc. A $20 donation per poker card sheet is requested. At each stop you will pull a random card, which will be documented on your sheet. At the end of the run back at the HOF, the person with the best poker hand on his/her sheet will win the trophy, and 50% of the cash collected from registrations. The other 50% of the cash is donated to the HOF. Organized by Jeff Zeller.
NEW: There is a new Friday run in the works organized by members of JDsleds.com, tentatively called "Katy's Bogie Bash". It will be a roughly 70-80 mile trip to Brent's Camp and back (Brent's camp is a Vintage Challenge fuel stop). Many members are planning to do this run on early bogie-suspension sleds. Stay tuned.
Friday evening before the RWTC
Friday Night Fish Fry - Dinner at the Whitetail Inn with members of JDsleds.com, the Hall of Fame, friends and family, and special guests. This is also an unofficial event. Organized by Don Amber.
Saturday:
Ride With the Champs - The day starts at the Whitetail Inn for registration, breakfast, and opening ceremonies. From there, everyone leaves on the guided trail ride of their choice. Options are:
Local Ride - 30+ mile trip to nearby Minocqua (however you could take a long route to get there)
Boulder Junction Run - 80+ miles around the North Woods of Wisconsin. Fast paced, but plenty of time for breaks.
Swamp Challenge - 100+ mile fast-pace ride to the Tomahawk area
Vintage Challenge - 150+ mile fast-pace ride to Lake Gogebic in the UP of Michigan.
After the rides conclude at around 4pm, after some time to clean up, everyone returns to the Whitetail Inn for dinner and the HOF induction ceremonies.
For more information or to register for Ride With the Champs, visit http://www.snowmobilehalloffame.com
Some members arrive earlier in the week to ride independently. Post in the forums if you want to come early and find someone to ride with.
Accommodations:
1st Choice: Whitetail Lodge - located right next to the Whitetail Inn (very convenient). Often fills up for the event.
2nd Choice: Hearthside Inn - only a few miles from the Hall of Fame and Whitetail Inn.
3rd Choice: Rustic Manor - just a little farther from the Hall of Fame and Whitetail Inn
All locations are close by to snowmobile trails, gas, and food.
There are many other accommodations in the area as well, however these are the most central.

Another great event for the "Off Season" is the Classic Sled Round Up Memorial Day weekend. Great Swap Meet and Show. This is worth the trip and you can scout out St. Germain for the RWTC.

Re: Ride With the Champs for Newbies
Booked into whitetail Lodge wed feb 12th but may even arrive on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 if it works out.
Plan on riding as much as possible But would rather not do it alone, So if any one else is around maybe we could get together and do some riding .

Glen, one more thing if you haven't saw this. A group of us will be meeting at the Golden Pines Supper Club Thursday night. We would be happy if you could join us. RSVP to Wade Bennett's Facebook page, or tell Rainville.
