Stud lengths?

Post by I500 »

I have most of my rider sleds studded using .75 length studs. <no problems>. Looking to stud another track and all I can find is .875 length studs. Since the lugs are only !/2" on this track I am a bit concerned. I will be studding a 80,s Liquifire track that will be going on a 340/s. Anybody else riding with the longer studs? Looking for push thru not T studs. Thanks

I ran into the same issue as I can't find anymore .75. I have been Leary of using the .875 but there was another member on here that said it works. If you do it let us know if they clear.

Just received a message from Mark Musselman of Woodys. He wants to talk about these so I am hoping that Mark can help out. Not sure if anybody else is studding there rides. Worth a shot.

People are constantly looking for the .75 studs, I was surprised when they weren't listed on Woody's site any more, but at the same time not many aftermarket suppliers seemed to carry them.

I prefer the Woodys Gold Digger GDP6-7500 but according to the catalog it says to "Contact Tech Support". Not sure what that means, I sent an email to Mark Musselman asking him for clarification and stating that there are JD owners needing this product. Using their hole making tool makes the studding job pretty darned easy.

The 3/4" Gold Digger studs have been hard to find for a long time. When Troy and I both were doing our 340/S' maybe 7 years ago they were hard to find. It seems that Woody's makes a run of them every so often, but only certain vendors would stock them. We always managed to find them somewhere. Mark Musselman ought to be able to explain what the situation is with these.

One of the places we got them was Hi-Performance Engineering. I don't have a current catalog, you could check at:
http://www.hiperf.com

OK, I had a moment to check this out, and it appears they have them in stock. You're welcome.
