1974 JDX8 summer project
I have one of my summer projects picked out. It is a 1974 JDX8 I picked up in December, she is a little beat up, and dirty, but has potential to be a good rider, and that is what I'm going to do to her. I have the skis pulled off all ready because I am have skis painted from my1972 JD500 so thought I would just get the JDX skis done too. Well here we go.

Looks like someone is walking off with your Dewalt.
Nice straight front bumper.
Will be a great project.

Re: 1974 JDX8 summer project
After a move from southern MN, to western IA, and adding another to our family, most projects have been put on hold. Now that life is getting back to normal, i thought I better get after this little project I started, with some changes of course. I am combining JDX and a 100 series sleds, to make a little bit of a monster sled.

The Deere is coming along, installed engine, exhaust, gauges, new electrical, and so on and so on. I call it my JDX00.

Went with the plastic tank, have my seat and hood ready to go. I got to fire her up too, a little fine tuning and she runs great.

I also had to move the pin for the throttle slightly, I wasn't getting the throttle to open all the way in the original position.

Seat and hood installed, just need to clean up the cowling, get a new bulb for the tail light, new head light, and figure out what I am going to do for a windshield.
