Liquidator Hand Grip

Post by T White »

Brian Nelson's Liquidator has a broken left side hand grip. Does anybody know where we can get one?

Thanks.

I found this from a thread around 2007.

From JDJR
I spoke to Brian about this too. I do not have a spare grip, but I have another idea. Since I haven't repoped a part lately, and the soon to be wife will gain financial control of my hobbie next year, I am willing to do two parts for the Deere guys.

First is the air box boot for Liquidators, second is the brake side grip for sleds with the juice brake. I told Brian I hat that in mind, and would donate the first usable grip I get made to his sled.

Were you able to get one made Joe?? If so, I could use one or two myself.

I thought someone donated a grip for Brian's Liquidator years ago. Did another one get 'borrowed' off his sled?

Grumpy did the Liquidator airbox boots, and about that time guys were finding NOS throttle grips to be modified to be used at the brake grip for the 340/s and kitted Liquidators, so the need to reproduce them dried up. Could be time to revisit them, if the NOS parts have dried up.

In the mean time, 340/s windshields are on order, 295/s windshields are in the planning stages.

Throttle side 75 -77 midmount grips can be modified to work. They aren't perfect but a close second if nothing else can be found

That's great news Wade, is there any chance someone could set us up with one.

Brian's sled is down on the floor for display this year for Hubert's induction and it looks like crap with no grip on it.

Thanks

When we were working with the guys doing the "Make a Wish" 340/S a few years back, I sent Troy a good used Cyclone grip, and his machine shop guys where he works modified it into a grip for the juice brake. There must be some Cyclone grips floating around.

I could use your help on this. I am looking for one or two more grips. I only have one and for some reason I can't get the aluminum insert out.
I cracked this one trying. Next one I will try heating and cooling it to see if it will release.

Does anyone have a good AM53368 grip. I could possibly make any extra for the one who donates two. It would be best if no holes are in it for the throttle pin area but any would work of this part number.

I made the one in this picture for my dator.

Thanks for any help.

I don't remember how they got the aluminum sleeve out, wasn't that the the question? Troy should know.

I know they didn't attempt to press it into the cut grip for fear of splitting it. So I think they opened up the bore and epoxied it in.

We could use some repro grips.

Repop grips would be awesome to have. On My Dator I was able to slowly work out the ring by working it out with some picks. Then I did like Brian said and bored out the hole and epoxied in the ring. It worked out awesome.
