Custom 84 Sprintfire

Post by sledhead16 »

Well until the budget allows, this 84 Sprint just got a yellow vinyl badging on each side. Got this one from a nearby deere friend. It was converted to a full rubber kimpex track which is in great shape. The seat was recovered nicely. The tank and hood had been repainted and some hinge work done on the hood. It does have some lighting electrical gremlins somewhere. Tried different voltage regulators but still burning bulbs. Tank flushed, new in tank line filter and grommet. All new fuel line to pump and carb. Oil system bled and all new line and filter new amsoil. Cooling system flushed. New plugs. Clutches aligned and cleaned. Sled all cleaned from grim. Track aligned and tensioned. She fires right up and sounds great. Neat Lil sled. Just need some snow!!!!

Allan. Nice looking sled you have there. Sprints and Snows are my favourite of the Deere lineup. They where such a simple sled, so light, and extra travel suspension all made for a sled WAYYYYY ahead of its time in my opinion!! On that note Allan, would you be able to let me know the numbers on that all rubber track, and did you add the marginal wheels? Thank you...Rob.
