Trying to help doesn't pay sometimes.

Post by WinnipegStPaul9 »

So this "1978 Trailfire" comes up for sale on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-snowmob ... S-&vxp=mtr

I contact the seller because this is a pretty nice looking sled and certainly not a 1978. I tell him that if he would send me the VIN I'd document for him the exact year and he tells me in so many words to "kiss off". He said "I know serial numbers and the build date is 06/77"

I tell him that John Deere never made sleds in June and that I'm not trying to be funny, I just want to help him.

He replys "I don't need help I have 160 snowmobiles and I know what I'm doing I specialize in John deers"

Well sure you do pal and of course you know how to spell Deer(e)...........................

Guess there's just no helping some folks.

That is all for now, dismissed

I noticed this when I checked out the auction. Still doesn't seem right to me but he's the expert I guess.

On Jan-08-16 at 10:44:13 PST, seller added the following information:

After looking at the serial numbers I guess this is a 1982 trailfire not a 1978

We installed their product in our home and when my wife (she's a township trustee) built the new fire station she had an industrial size installed. Very happy. They're friends of mine.
