Making progress on my 295/S restoration, Not sure what clutch is correct for the 295/S. Mine was missing when I found the sled. I assumed it would have been a 102-C but after studying my parts book and looking at what I have for NOS parts it was a 100-C or a 101-C. I have a dandy 101-C on hand if it is in fact correct for the 295/S. Just need to clean it up and put it back together at 295/S specs.
Thanks!

Old sleds are hours of entertainment.... then you get to ride them for a little bit.

Re: 295/S Clutch
It may have originally been a 100 (I think 1974 was the first year for Comets?) but a 101 is the same clutch with better bushings, and many 100s were upgraded anyway because the brass bushings didn't hold up.

Re: 295/S Clutch
You are correct Matt I got a look in the 295/S Service manual, and the 295/S came with a 100-C from the factory. Wile I am guessing the 102-C is the better clutch, I have a dandy 101-C on hand. It looks like my good 102-C's are all in service.

Re: 295/S Clutch
While I am not sure about the 295/S, I do know that the first appearance of the 102C was on the 340/S, and then the production sleds in '76.
The 101C was used on '75 production sleds. The 101C will look and work fine on your 295/S, and the one I put on the wife's green machine really works nice and smooth.
