1981 spitfire spark?

81 spitfire runs fine but when warm will not restart has spark but appears to be alot less then when engine is cold? Cdi? Stator?

I wish I knew, I don't. I do have an 81 spitfire I have had forever and will follow this thread and help if I can. I just put a new (1980) CDI on mine tonight. Good luck

Sounds like it might be your stator coils. Here is a diagrahm with the specs, try doing an ohm test to see what kind of reading you get.

That's the wrong wiring diagram the 1981 has a cdi/coil all built in its a pain in The ass to find one
