76 cyclone/liquifire CDI's

Post by luvzvintage »

are these CDI's interchangeable across the board of cyclone 340, 440 and LF 340 and 440?
in the parts manual I don\t see a number difference for engine sizes, however, I do see different part numbers for different serial numbers series
for example: cyclone - 70000 AM53644
70000 to 80000 AM 54169

For the LF I find to 70000 part number AM53922 AND 70001 AND UP AM54169

?????

Yes, there is a difference in the 76 cyclone and liquifire oem cdi boxes, the wiring is longer on the liquifire cdi Boxes. You can use liquifire cdi box on the cyclone but not the other way around without modification.
The 77/78 cdi's are interchangeable .
