I-600 vintage legends

Post by 340sracer »

vintage legends When reading the rules I was surprised and puzzled when I noticed twist grips are not allowed .
After spending much time and dollars rounding up throttle cables for the twist grip now I have to find an alternative!!!. Now I'm looking for suggestions what might work to change the throttle and cables
Thanks Glen

Has anyone come to Glen's aid here? I would love to see him run his original sled In the 600 again after all these years.

Glen is on the road. I know he got some assistance from folks in Saskatchewan, North Dakota, and Minnesota. I got a short video clip of him testing the 340S in sub zero temps. on Tuesday. He and the sled looked right at home in that MN highway ditch! When he gets a chance, I suspect he will post an update.
He is really looking forward to competing in this event and I agree you BU1, lets support Glen and his sled anyway we can!!

Somehow I missed Glen's original post. Keith is there anything I can do to help him?

Don. We need to do a little work on his brakes. I think he was going to contact you concerning his brakes, he is on his way to Arizona right now. Is a rebuild kit available?

For the master cylinder or caliper? A guy in New York (no, not Rainville LOL) used to have those parts. I'll see if I can find his name and number.

Does anyone know what the thickness of the original brake pads for the 340 S would be and if new ones are available ?

Glen, if no one else responds I'll check later today. I have Rick Gajeski hooked up with Sam Polito the KH guru to get parts for your master cylinder.

Sam Polito is the man when it come to K-H brake repair. The last email I had for Sam is kitkat@rochester.rr.com.

I think Wahl Brothers racing sells new pads that fit the KH brakes.

I hope this helps,
