I had to cut the center tab on my Cannon. Does anyone offer a "correct" windshield for the 80s that you don't have to cut the tab? I don't think Deere had different part number to distinguish between the two versions, but I could be wrong.

I'm also curious. Will the sport windshields be formed to curve out at the top and sides like the original.....then there's the deal with the side wings.....long wings like the early windshields or curved like the later ones?

I see this being a big discussion.

I don't mind cutting the center tab with a dremel, but some might mind. If there's enough orders to do both and the cost is good make both, if it's cheaper and not much interest just do one. I like the flared cannon look!

I'm ok with cutting the tab off if only one style is available

Guys,

Thanks again for your feedback. The "low-sport" versions I plan to repop will not include the side wings that some of the aftermarket styles have. I plan to do the original Deere style that is flat on the sides this time around. I will post pic's to show what I mean. I will see if it's cost affective to carry types with and without the center tabs. I would prefer that you didn't have to cut them off, but if I can only make one style, it would probably have the center tab. I will keep you posted, and again, thank you.

Hi Guys,

Just received an update from my vendor. Looks like the Dator windshield will be delivered in about two more weeks. I will certainly keep everyone posted on their arrival, and I look forward to getting them into customer's hands.

The Liquifire Sport windshield (that will fit the 79-84 Trail, Sport and Liquifire's) is being quoted so we can get to that as soon as possible. We are trying to reduce the lead time from the Dator project.

Thanks again for all your interest. And just as a friendly reminder, I still have 340/s and 295/s windshields in stock and ready to ship.

Joe,
Will you be doing another order for more Dator correct cut windshields ?
I would be interested in at least 1 possibly 2.
Thanx Dave

Hi guys,

After some delay, the first test fit Liquidator windshield is being shipped today. After approval, they claim a week to fill the 50 piece order so I should have them for sale soon after new years.

Dave, I have 50 coming, with about 1/3 of them pre-sold. I should have no problem filling your order.

I will of course post here first as soon as they are in hand.

Thanks for your patience,

Mark, just let me know how many you want. Looks like I should be able to hold the price at $100 each, baring any major surprises.

I can take pre-orders here or at: joerainville@hotmail.com

Thanks,

Finally the first order of new reproduction windshields has arrived! OEM quality, 0.080" thick polycarbonate molded Liquidator windshields. Replaces John Deere PN AM54082.

Also fits the 76-78 Liqufiire's and Cyclones as the "Dator Cut". Its the same height at the stock 76-77's, and a low option for the 78's. I have to thank Brock Weber for donating the original piece to be reproduced, and for Don Amber "Busco Bullet" for being the first customer of 2 windshields.

I will also post an add in the classifieds, price is $100 plus actual shipping, expected to be about $20 for 1-5 psc.

Thanks,
