jdx8 consol or access cover

Does anyone know if jdx8 access cover to plugs are the same on all x models or if there the same on the other models 300-800? Dam thing flew off hauling it over xmas wknd and need to find one big time, and ive been searching everywhere.

The shape would be the same but the badges are different depending on the model. Seems to me the location and number of vents in that cover varied by model and/or year as well, but I'm just not certain. Could be a model year difference in the retaining knob device.

1972 versions are smaller then 1973+, and make sure you get one with the vents, as the originals did not all have them and were replaced under a service bulletin. It shouldn't that hard to find one, I'm sure I have an extra if no one else does.

Yes make sure to use one with vent on a x8, and then better the heat shield and foam between the motor and carb the better, mine was always vapor looking and making it a pain the the ... to restart. Never know about the vented access covers being a update till I got more mid mounts.
