Shaving Material in Crank Case 340 Kioritz

Post by jossundfarms »

I took the bottom crank case half off my 340 Kioritz to replace the crank seals and I found these shaving/ particals around. They appear to be bronze or brass. Im new to two strokes so Im wondering what these are from and what could be wrong? shim material ? part of a connecting rod bearing? Thanks!

Is this a single carb walbro engine? If so it looks to be some of the cork gasket material that goes between the air box and carb. it's possible some of it got sucked into the crankcase.

Yes it is, that would make sense! I'll have to pull the intake apart at take a look thanks for the info! I suppose after that long that cork material would be fairly hard.
