74 JDX8 440/22 timing

Post by yfzracer912 »

Hi, I've been restoring my jdx for the last 6 months. I'm finally sending my motor to get timed tomorrow. However I'm a little confused about the information on the actual set point. I read online to set the timing at 0.024 but my manual recommends 0.009 for my serial #. What should I set it at? Thanks.

I go by the manual. The Kukosan and Denso ignitions used different settings, you should have the Denso.

Timing can go well, or be frustrating, let me know how it goes.
