MAX11135M3 Belts Status

Post by WinnipegStPaul9 »

I received information this morning that indicated the MAX1135M3 belts were incorrectly sized. With that information I halted sales until I could establish the truth. With the help of Carlisle/Ultimax, Lincoln Huffman and Peter Duncanson we established that these belts are fine. I will attach a Product Information Bulletin from Carlisle/Ultimax that explains their products. What I had to remember was that I was comparing their belts with belts made 40 years ago. Technology has indeed changed. Also, being concerned, I stopped my order until I could find out the truck. As of now the order is back in the system and should arrive in a few days. Thanks for your patience and enjoy the attached Bulletin. Don

Good info Don! Especially for us geeks who wonder why stuff like that doesn't quite measure right when you check it.

Very useful info Don!! Thanks for posting. I wish the snowmobile oem's would make information like this more available to consumers,it would eliminate some confusion.

Not sure what your problem with the belt is but this same belt has been used on a Liquifire for over 300 trouble free miles. You mentioned in your email to me that the size was wrong, did you read the information from Carlisle? The MAX belt will NOT measure 1 1/4" as Carlisle removes the "flashing". Regardless of the problem I will be happy to return your money if you return the belts. There are a lot of customers still waiting on the belts.

PS: I am leaving today for vacation in Mexico and will not be returning until April 10th. I'm taking my laptop but cannot be assured of wifi.

This belt was designed to replace and update the M69170 belt used by John Deere for the TR-800 clutches.

BigbadJohn instead of me answering your question, the sled owner that has tested it will be on the board tonight and explain what he has. Again, you're more than welcome to your money back if you ship them back to me.

Hi am am the guy that has put 300 miles on this belt. I ran it on a 83 liquifire with the tr800 I also was worried when I put it on but after adjusting the secondary I never looked at it for my entire trip. Please explain what your issue is so I can also try to help. These belts are all I will ever run on my own sleds. If you have ever put a belt on that has been in a spare belt holder, that is how it acted till it was round again thanks Lincoln
