Trailfire Electric start kit

Post by ljm »

A friend would like me to install electric start to his 340 Trailfire.

Does anyone have an idea what a used electric start kit is worth? I think I have all the parts. But If someone had a kit that they wanted to sell I might be interested.

Thanks

Lloyd, I have an NOS E-start kit and I wouldn't take $400.00US for it. They're too rare and if I did a restoration and needed one I'd have it. Just my humble opinion.

Didn't someone on here repop the battery box, wiring harness, and rectifier? You would still need to come up with a starter assuming the flywheel has the ring gear.

Thanks guys

I know a few years ago there was some used parts come up on Ebay. I haven't seen much on there lately. With the value of the Canadian dollar I don't spend near as much time on Ebay as I used to.

I have a ring gear, starter, battery box, solenoid and rectifier. But I was keeping it for a planned project.

I guess I should start buying up any parts sleds I see with E-start
