Reproduction Liquifire Throttle Blocks
We are investigating the making of reproduction throttle blocks for the 80-84 Liquifires. These will not be plastic but anodized aluminum. We don't really want to proceed very far until we have an idea of how many are desired. As to price our best guesstimate is $60.00-$75.00 (but you'll never replace it). How much interest is there?

I would need at least one if not a pair. The hard part is that you only need one when you need one......

Re: Reproduction Liquifire Throttle Blocks
Not that I'm aware of but I can check to see if it's possible. Keep in mind that the cost depends on volume.

Re: Reproduction Liquifire Throttle Blocks
Don,
Some advice: most every 80-84 Liquifire/Sport/Trailfire has a cracked throttle block. You may want to consider asking your vendor where the price brakes are and make extra for inventory. Supply will help create it's own demand. I had 10 to 20 confirmed orders for Liquifire Sport windshields. So far I've sold about 75 since November...(and thanks guys for that!). I hope this helps...
I still have a stash of NOS AM54582 78-79 green Spitfire throttle blocks, so I wouldn't worry about those until I run out.
Spitfire King, if you need a throttle block for a green Spitfire, I can help. I do not have brake blocks however.
Thanks,
-Joe

Re: Reproduction Liquifire Throttle Blocks
I have good news and then I have even better news. Busco Bullet has found a source to make these throttle blocks out of PETG a wonderful "non-metal" material. The price will be in the $45.00 range (the good news) and the first twenty will be delivered to me in a couple of weeks (better news). We already have received a few M67995 brake blocks that are available now. I'll post a picture of the brake blocks as the throttle blocks will look just like them (material wise).

I recently lost all of my address contacts due to a computer crash. Those of you interested in throttle blocks please PM me with your full name and address. For my Canadian friends I'll need your phone number too, it's required on the Customs Form.
