Hi Guys,
For those of you not on Facebook, I posted over there if there was interest in molded 80-84 Liquifire and Sportfire seat covers. I have a tooling quote I can live with, and the retail cost should be in the $175 range if the quote hold up through production.
The response so far today was quite positive, so it looks like this will happen. Lead time is at least 10 weeks for the tooling, so they won't be ready until spring at the earliest. We are using a boxed NOS seat for the pattern, and have a few options for the vinyl itself, including one with a bit more give the original. I am planning to sell the covers uncut, just as Deere did originally.
"IF" this seat goes as well as the 80-84 Liquifire 'Sport' windshields has gone, I plan to do the ribbed 2-up seat used on most Deere's from 72-78 next, as I also have an NOS one to use as a pattern. My third choice would be the 78 Liquifire after that, but one thing at a time.
Thanks,
-Joe Rainville

Joe,
This would be another home run outta of the park reproduction from you if you make this happen !!
I have kinda fell off the Deere sled wagon last few years with doing a car restoration project.
Getting back on now.
Curious to how this repro product is progressing to date?
Thanks Dave

Dave and Jerry, thanks for the feedback.
The tooling was ordered last month. I hope to have samples this spring, but sometimes "10 weeks" can turn into months depending on how busy they are. I will keep everyone posted as this progresses.

Thanks Joe.
I know myself and many others are very anxious to see the outcome of this.
Positive outcome is the preferred one.
Haha.
Thanks again Joe.
