Wanted: 74 500 top engine cover

Nobody out there has an old 300, 400, 500, 600 or JDX laying around in the woods?

It's a little trickier than that. The engine cover you seek was only used on the 500 and 600 in '74. They are all a little different.

Maybe someone can post a pic I might have one to match, not sure what the difference would be. I think they are a little shorter then the other ones like a 300

I have a 300 cover i think its 74 I will sell I don,t know what it would to ship pm me and Ill send you a photo

I didn't know that there were differences in them. I just assumed that the later models would all interchange.

I think JD600 though you were asking for the tin on the actual engine. I think you are probably asking about the plastic spark plug access panel. They were the same 1973 on for all mid-mounts, and make sure it has the vents as originally they did not, and there was a recall. I might have an extra but I'm not sure.

Matt you are right, I'm looking for the spark plug access cover. I tried the one off my buddies 76 300 and it fits fine. Now that we are clear on what I'm looking for, anyone have a nice one? PM me with pics and prices please. I live in Essexville MI 48732. Thanks! Chad
