340/rs2 head gasket leaks

Post by deeresleder »

Hi all! I have a 340/rs2 engine with a head gasket leak. Im wondering if the gaskets from a jdx4 special will work or if any member has a set for the 340/rs2 motor they will sell. Thanks Howie

Hi! With no reply from any members on my 340/s gasket issue I ordered a custom set from Cometic. I did put the gaskets from a kec 340-5 on the jugs and they looked to be a close fit. Thanks

Good info to know as these parts become more difficult to find!

Just a heads up for anyone ordering from Cometic! I was excited to complete my build knowing my gasket set was coming on Saturday. When I opened the package there were only enough gaskets for one cylinder! Upon calling Cometic there tech.said a gasket set is for one cylinder only. Wow. So my build still was completed using the set from Winderosa for a JDX4 special. Gaskets were identical to the ones from Cometic. Engine runs beautiful. If you order from Cometic tell them how many cylinders and expect to pay a lot extra.
