Finally a 78 Cyclone 440
I have been looking for a 1978 Cyclone 440 for a while and I'm always a day late or missed the sale. I've know about this sled for about a year and got the call today that he wanted to get rid of it so I dropped what I was doing and went and picked it up. The sled is in very good shape and very very clean. The chassis is straight as can be. Compression is at 150 on both cylinders. The sled looks to be original and not restored so it does have some scratches here and there. The seat was redone by Johns Upholstery. This was ridden every year by the previous owner. The bonus of this sled is that it has a rubber track on it. I have not dug too deep into what was done yet but the rubber track looks brand new and has a JD part#AM54336 which I come up with as a cross country track. A hex shaft and 3 drivers were also used and look new. The previous owner bought the sled like this and does not know any details. This will be my rider so I will do the crank seals so I know they are good, Have the stator rewind by Hewtech and use a Hewtech CDI (it now has a sno-stuff CDI) pull the skid and go through everything, clean and rebuild the clutches. I'm pretty excited about this sled. Any more info on this track would be great. Thanks

I am a little jealous. Looks like it will be a great sled. Always one of my favorite years.

What a great looking sled. Looks like 4 or 5 years old. Nice find.

Sweet looking sled! I have a buddy that owns one, and says it's one of his favorite to trail ride.
