Has anyone on here mounted the square block Kawi 440 from an '81-'82 Kawasaki LTD in a 80-84 Liquifire? I know the mounts are different but, is this considered an insurmountable task for the average guy. I am comfortable enough to tear a sled down to the last rivet but if it's too much of a hassle for a 12hp gain, then maybe I'll scrap this idea but, if there's not a ton of fabrication, then maybe I'll tackle it. I know it's possible as I've seen pics of that unbelievably well done "Wildfire" with the Interceptor engine swapped in! That sled is to the point were it looked like it came straight from Horicon that way! As always, any help and info is incredibly appreciated!

*** EDIT ***
I finally found a post from years ago where it was indicated that it required significant work and fabrication to mount one in a Liquifire chassis. I am good at working with what is there but I also know my limits. This would probably be beyond my scope...

Re: Kawi LTD 4/8 mounting question
The easiest would be to find the 1980 4/6 motor and pipes. the motor drops right in place and mounts to existing style chassis mounts. and that motor makes around 76hp

Re: Kawi LTD 4/8 mounting question
I've been on the hunt for a 4/6 for a while without luck. I did however, find an '82 LTD that I could use for a donor. It would be way more work by the sounds of it. The LTD doesn't have much more power than the 4/6 but from what I understand, it has more torque and honestly, I don't know if I'd notice the difference.
I'ts funny you should suggest the 4/6. That's what I made as my backdrop on my computer today.
