Fly Fishing and tying

Post by Matt »

Anyone do fly tying? I just started to this year. I started fly fishing 2 or 3 years ago for trout. The big wooly buggers are for a once-a-year Salmon trip.

I've never tied flies but it's always looked interesting to me. I've been making my own vertical perch (crappie) rigs lately. There's a slight variation coined the "perch assassin" that seems to gaining popularity around here this year. It looks like a crappie rig but with flys instead of plain hooks.

Have tied for 20 years. Have a ton of supplies and materials that I have inherited from other family members and friends. Let me know if you ever need anything!

Thank you - it's been a while since I did any tying, and I have not trout fished at all this year. I'm more focused on bass. I still have everything so that I can get back to it if I feel like it.
