Clutching for black hills
Clutching for black hills
I have a 1982 trailfire 340. Have never been to black hills with this machine before. Curious to know if anyone has gone out there and not changed clutch weights? Is it a must that you need to change them or are you able to get by and the sled is just slightly boggy? Located in Iowa now and dont really want to mess with it if dont have to. Thank you for any inputs.
Re: Clutching for black hills
A few years ago I took my Liquifire to the black hills and changed clutching and jetting per the fine tune manual. It ran well. In my opinion taking the time to make the adjustments is better than having a poorly running sled ruin an entire trip. A 340 Trailfire is pretty low on power anyway so I would follow the recommendations to get all available ponies.
