John Deere cyclone 340 sled

I bought a 340 Cyclone a year ago, because I rode one when I was a kid. It ran like crap. I fixed everything but the real problem (Running on one cylimder PTO side not running). Trying to solve the problem I have replaced the piston rings, gaskets, CDI box, coils,wires,crankseal on PTO side, carb rebuilt except for main jet needle in the slide. I have checked the reed valves (no daylight) new gaskets. Now I find out its running on one cylinder. Recheck compression 120-135, 120 not running (hoping reading will change). When I pulled the plug wires while running, I got jolted off running cylinder, both have spark. I have pulled MAG etc and change crankseal with no hope. New gas line filter, fuel pump, starts 3 pulls cold, one when it's warm, will idle all day long. It has 2300 miles, also even cleaned out the muffler. Any help would be so appreciated, this project is driving me crazy.
PS. cylinder will kick in at high speed. Lots of power.

See if this might make any sense in regard to your issue. A couple of fixes that have been mentioned is welding a bead around the ball, thus building it back up. Or, if it isn't too bad, running a bead of hi-temp RTV in the pipe, letting it set up a bit, then installing it it.

Let me know what you find.
