Post by Georgejr73 »

Hello all, I'm a new member and was wondering if anyone out there could tell me approximately how many1978 john deere liquifire 340's are expected to be left?I have owned #80097 for about 10 years now and finally got to really start restoring it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Here is the production numbers of the Liquifires of that model type.

There were 1175 made. Hard to tell how many are left in barns and back yards these days! You don't see many 78 340's on the snow anymore! A good one to restore and ride.

Like Dan said there's no way to say how many are still around. I don't feel like the 340 version gets "saved" as much as the 440 unless of course it's a Cross Country version.

Thanks for getting back fellas, it kinda breaks my heart that these particular sleds are going to be knoll and void before long. I have looked for another one in the past but you just don't see them.
