73 JDX4 Ignition issues

Post by Northernlite888 »

Hello
First time poster. I bought a 73 JDX4 in rough shape this winter and had some good rides in it until my final ride when It stalled and ended my season. Had only one plug firing so I decided to refurbish the ignition system somewhat. I replaced the condensers, breaker points (and yes I set them to proper specs), external ignition coils, spark plugs and plug wires. Now that I did all this work, I test it out. Still only one plug firing, but it's the OPPOSITE one than before!
Anybody have any advice? I'm quite stumped on this one. I'm not too well versed in electrical, would anybody have any leads on what to test with a multimeter to diagnose what is going on here?
Thanks

Could you have a bad new coil?
