LIQUIDATOR FOUND

Post by MARK »

Rich, first off CONGRATS!! on finding your sled, to bad you couldn't of found it sooner and brought it to the HOF. Durabilty yes and no,of all the daters I have had and have the most dependable one has the 78 liquifire heat exchanger in it I can drive it all day "i do" and the temp never gets above 145 degrees no matter what the outside temp is.The other ones I either have to be flying or get behind somebody to eat snowdust and I have had to replace the stators in everyone because they get so hot because of the exhaust right by the recoil and the engine running 200 plus degrees all the time, most of the daters have had the thermostats taken out but they still run hot, I wonder if Deere would of installed the heat exchangers on these sleds if they would have been more bullitproof after the factory recall??????

ours has over 8000 miles on it. grandpa changed it over to a 440 liquifire motor, exhaust, raditor and heat exchanger long ago (we still have all the parts to change it back). we trail rode it until we blew the cc track out in 88 or 89. that is the only thing i can remember having to fix on it.
