295/s

Quick question on readin the tops of pistons. I am woring on a 295/s I recently aquired and it still has the 140 mains both sides with 35 pilots. I know that is not correct. Now the mag piston shows a black carbon on top. the PTo side shows it is pettry clean with no carbon. SO i am guesing that when setup right, there should be carbon pretty even on top of the piston? and a clean piston would indicate a lean condition?

Well to to see if it ran I cranked er up tonite after bumping up the PTO to 160 main.(before i even attempted to start it.) I had forgetten how cool the 295 sounds! It started 2 pulls no problem. No driving yet as I have to fix some drive train problems. It should go good! I still would like some feedback on the previous post!
