Rich,
My dad got me interested in collecting aging John Deere metal. I grew up with the putt putt's. Here's a pic of his model B serial #1007 It's the 8th B built. It has the four bolt front. No gear markings on the shift plate, and no impulse markings on the flywheel.

Rich, looking forward to photo's of the wide front "B", I've never seen one before...
Ramon, thats an awesome looking "B". Did you restore it yourself?

Another 2 Cylinder Deere
Jim,
Dad restored it in the summer of 87 for the two cylinder show in Waterloo. He did everything himself except for the silk screening on the hood. He had Lawrence Vanzanti do that in Pella Iowa. Somehow he ended up with the factory silk screens. It is a pretty cool process to watch.
