Started it again today, starts quick (estart is nice :> ) and easy, but wont idle when cold w/choke on or off, I feathered it for a few minutes trying to get it warmed up and then ran it around the back 40 for a few laps.
I never got it down by idle on the laps but it ran quick even with my gravity challenged body on it.
When I brought it back around to the garage it never idled down past 3200 and sounded like it had a miss in it, felt like it was right on the edge of being ready to take off.
Does this sound like a carb adjusting problem or?
Thanks in advance.

Update: I got it to idle, or so I thought, got it warmed up and played with the one screw I could find, that looked in the right spot for the idle screw.Turned a 1/4 turn at a time and I got it to idle around 2100, fine tune book says 1800-2300. Took it back around a few laps and it ran fine on top end. Pulled to a stop and it sat around 2900rpms would not back down.

The miss you are hearing is probably the rev limiter kicking in. If it is missing, unplug the wires going to the limiter, does the engine stop missing? How is the idle sound at 2900? Is it smooth? If it is, I would leave it alone. On the Liquifires, the book stays to have a low idle as well, I found the sleds run better from a dead stop with it idling around 4000 with a clutch engagment of 5000. Just something to think about.

High idels are often caused by vacumn leaks try sryaying around the intake and seals with some carb cleaner.
