What on earth makes it worth that much? Only 178 CC Liquifires were made, and by a company that no longer makes sleds to boot! And they don't go for no 4 Million! And from a seller with NO FEEDBACK to boot........ And only one picture? I tell you what, I smell a rat.............

The auction is a scam - and the vs.com guys are probably bidding it up just for funsies. It has happened a couple of times.

Yeah they probably are.. i tried selling a laptop on ebay once before.. the price went up to $6,000 ish... i mean who in the world would want a laptop for $6k... it was some nigerian person bidding on it.. took me like 5 tries to sell that laptop till a buyer actually paid $500 for it... so yeah this snowmobile is probably a scam no doubt...

To add insult to injury, the original owner actually sold the sled on tuesday. You can't scam something like this in such a tight community of vintage sledders.

Bob...here's what I think might be goin on ( I could be wrong). Some 3rd world scammer stole the pic and listing from a previous seller and figured he could sell it for a few grand, pocket the money and disappear from ebay...since not only does he not have the sled, he's likely never set foot in North America and I'd be real surprised if he's even seen a real snowmobile before. So, likely some guys who actually know where this particular sled is and also know that the current owner has not offered it for sale, start bidding it up ridiculously high maybe in hopes that ebay will then be in a position to nail the a__hole with a few million in ebay commission selling fees. But, there's a fat chance they'll ever find the seller.....his ebay account will be suspended til he comes up with a new ID and tries to pull a similar stunt again. The high bidder shouldn't be responsible to pay for something that the seller does not have as far as I can see. And I wouldn't be real surprised if some of the bidders are looking at the sled in their buddies shop...pretty strong proof that the scammer doesn't have the sled. In any case,it's good for a laugh. Too bad some people will actually think it's for real.

I think you're right...... Bid it up, slap him with some huge eBay fees, then get him kicked for scamming to boot...... Might teach the no-life a lesson........

I reported the auction to ebay as a supected fraudulent listing about an hour ago and I see it has now vanished. Good to see ebay looks into these things. Maybe I should have kept quiet just to see what would have happened...lol
