He just sent me some pics of the sled. Needs some cosmetic work for sure. Email him and I am sure he will send the pics to you now. But there is a 340s so, if it's his then I guess he is just trying to work interested parties for the best price. I am not at all interested for $1500 based on the pics he sent me. JIM

I got my email with pictures and made him an offer. I'm like Jim though, it's not all that great. Don

Don, I know what you mean, Back in those day we thought we were just lucky to sell them, "IF only we didn't know now what we didn't know then???" Sure makes a guy feel pretty dumb..
I've paid more $$$$ now to get a couple of my personal racers back than I paid for them NEW..

TakeItToTheLimit wrote: I have a verbal commitment..."check will be in the mail". I am planning a trip to IL & WI late this week to pick up some sleds and make the delivery.

Also, I did not do a back n forth "high bidder" thing with the sleds. I set a firm but reasonable price and no one asked to purchase them for less. I did not ask for $1500 btw.

I got the same e-mail, but he claims he spoke to me on the phone about the price.
He says he is not taking bids, but the highest offer.

Who knows.

It's funny he told Rich that his new best offer was $1000. I just got this from him today.

1st person to give me $1000.00 cash buys this .

Looks like his auction is going the wrong way.

Do I hear $750? How about $500?

Some people have all the ideas.

I'm totally tired of this guy. He keeps emailing me for an offer that I've given him twice prior. I'm certain that Rich is correct in that he doesn't even own it. I can only hope he'll contact me again because my price has gone down. DA

I just got a call from a friend of mine here in Ohio that deals in sleds. He tried to get me the other day, but I didn't get him called back. Anyhow, he said a guy with a 340/s called him looking for parts for a Yamaha Phazer. My friend isn't up on his JD race sleds (I have given him pictures of Liquidators so he knows what to watch for) so he didn't make him an offer. The owner said he was going to list it on the internet. So, there does appear to be a 340/s available in Ohio right now. I do not know who the guy is or have never seen the sled. I do know another guy up in northern Ohio that has a 340/s but it was his dads sled & he bought a new hood from me 3 or 4 years ago for it, so I don't think it's the same one. I told my dealer friend if he gets it I'll pay him back for the parts he has to trade for it, but it sounds like the owner thinks he's just won the lottery.

Finnaly checked out the pics. Told the guy i was sorry but could not offer him much for a parts sled. If your looking for the best price put it on ebay and stop jerking people around with the "guess my price " game.......

I dealt with this guy last year on the Snowfire I bought with 100 miles on it. I told him I'd buy it but he was wishy washy on the deal. He wouldn't commit. So he finally sold it and not to me. The guy that bought it eventually put it for sale himself trying to make some $$ on it. That never happened. I contacted this Chad guy and asked what he sold it for. That's what I ended up getting it for as well last spring. And the best part is that the guy I bought it from had to drive all the way to Ohio to pick it up. I only had to drive within the state to pick it up so it ended up saving me time and money. But I'd watch out for this guy.
