Hey, everybody, Am cleaning and rebuilding carbs on an '80 LF which somebody gave me. (All there - needs some work). Pulled one carb apart at a time, soaked in carb cleaner, etc. When came time to reassemble; noticed main jet did not want to thread into seat. Took float bowl off other carb to see if I had the main and power jets backwards. Found that they were also mounted opposite of what Fig 16 on Page 30-10-5 of (Liquifire Tech Manual?) I have a copy of the manual and pics are too dark to tell which is which. It shows Main Jet as being a little closer to "hole" for needle jet holder. The Power jet sits a little further away. Is this Fig 16 correct? If so, somebody has reversed the power jet and main jet in my carbs. No wonder it wouldn't run!!!
Also, where can I get new carb parts like the tiny rubber O-rings on the needle jet holder? Thanks, SlimT

Limit, thanks for the info. I suspected that was the case; but Fig 16 pic in the manual is wrong. Thanks and Great New Year. SlimT

i found the easiest quickest and best rusults way to clean carbs and jets is to use Eagle One A-Z tire cleaner. All you have to do is spray it on the carbs and take a old tooth brush and scrubb the old dirt and crud off then spray it off with water and you"ll see some nice results. Take a small cap or container to put your jets in and let the peices soak for a hour or two and they will turn out clean. Try it.
