Bob,
Very, very nice straight Liquidator. Looks great! I love that hood!
It has to bring back some very fond memories. Even your shadow is smiling in the last photo.
Did you get her running on both cylinders? Did it turn out to be a bad fuel pump?

Looks fantastic Bob, I think it is great you decided to "re-create" this part of your life and JD history.
Fired up the Liquidator
Hey, finally got back to working on the Dator. I rebuild the fuel pump, with a mikuni Fuel pump kit,put some QN-19V surface gap spark plugs in it,squirted some gas in the carbs,2 pulls and she fired right up. Ran good on both cylinders. Took it for a few miles up the trail and back, need to do some fine tunning,on the carbs,"low end bog" drive belt i have is to short, need to find the right one. 40 to 50 mph it runs good. Need to take it easy on the engine rebuild.dator wrote:Got my Liquidator running today.Would only run on one cly most of the time,i think the fuel pump is the problem. I want to put in a new one, can you guys see any problems puting one in from a late model ski-doo?being a "doo dealer it's easy to get one"
I have some pics i will post soon.My computer is to old to get it done. Bob
This is the first ride on my Dator in 14-15 years. Sure feels weird compared to the new Ski-Doos.
PS Sure feels good to get it running after all these years!!!!!
Olso has some electrical issues,it won't shut off.Need to go thru the wiring.
