Waconia Today

Post by ChickenRat »

Just got back from Waconia today. Beautiful weather, TONS of people. Lots of neat stuff/sleds. Going back tomorrow to see the sled show and enter a couple of Deere's. Met JDXspec(Dustin), GreenBlood(Dave), Liquifire84(Brice), Horicon Joe(Joe) & Bpmailman(Mike) today. Did the trailride with the CC Liquifireand will have another post/question about that.

Here's a pic.

What a beautiful day Saturday, and hope for more of the same today (as long it doesn't get too muddy).

Sorry I didn't remove my helmet in the picture. The ride was just about to start and it is a pain to get it adjusted just right with the breath guard and glasses. Anyway, the sleds are more important subject matter.

Like Dustin said, so many names, faces and nice sleds! Met a group of guys that are not on the site and encouraged them to register. One of the guys had a nice looking 84 Liquifire. Another group from Forest Lake MN with 2 '75 JDX8s and an 800 that were looking very nice.

Roll call of the guys I met: Horicon Joe, BPMailman, Chuck Moser, ChickenRat, Matts73Z, JDXSpec, John (think seats), JDdecalguy, DeereMemorabilia, and 69Camaro.

I'm leaving for todays events just as soon as I get the boys rounded up. Maybe I'll even get the camera out...

I was looking at some photos of the vintage trail ride from Waconia last night on the Bull Sessions site. Wow, Huge! Hundreds of sleds? Pretty awesome at any rate.

i'm with trucker, i spent so much time bsing with everyone i met that i missed out on half the show! i just have to add, that of all the hobbies and activities that i have been involved with, vintage snowmobile guys and gals have to be the most friendly and greatest people to be around. people that i had never met before in my life just walk up and talk to you like they have know you their whole life. great people, great time.
