1984 Snowfire

Post by ChickenRat »

Yup, I'm the sucker that won the '84 Snowfire. I NEVER had the intention of paying that much for it and for that, I'm frowning. Last year I bought the '83 Snowfire with 140 miles on it for $900. I truly thought that that this one would go for between $1100-1500. I placed a high bid just to protect myself in case someone placed some sort of crazy bid. Looks like I'm the crazy one. The other last minute bid was within $25 of my top bid so even with this price I was a hair away from losing it. I talked with the owner of this sled tonight and he was shocked that it went for as much as it did as well. He's going to give me a printout of the list of bidders so I can see if I can find out who the other crazy bidder was. Looks like I'll be spending much more time at work in the next month............ On the flip side, I really wanted this sled as it will compliment my basically NOS '82 Snowfire, low mileage '83, and now this low mileage '84. They'll be fun to bring to shows once I get over this nausea.
