Brian Nelson's and ETD's accomplishments in 1976. Their hard work and dedication is still a hot topic of converstion today. It's very impressive considering all the trouble they were having with the Dator pistons.

The racing leathers the ETD drivers wore. Not sure how they kept from freezing to death while racing. These guys were tough! Very tough!

I wanted to get some photos of Jon Carlson on Brian Lindner's 340/S outside the HOF but my camera memory was full. It was trully a great time. I'm looking forward to doing it again next year. I have to redeem myself after my poor showing this year.

Hey Guys,

I will give more detail later, as I have a race this weekend and my sled is still in many pieces. But, here is Greg's Trailfire back to the homeland...

This was taken Saturday AM just before leaving the HOF for the ride of our lives. This of course was the man who set the incredibly fast pace, Jon Carlson. Jon is also now on the HOF board, and that is a good thing...

Here is the vintage line up getting ready to head out. Almost made me wish I brought a Deere, felt funny leaving the guys behind. The NY Posse already decided we are going vintage next year...

This was our "flight" right after a great lunch 75 miles from the HOF. We were all pretty low on fuel at this point, but the fuel truck didn't show up yet, forcing us to cross the lake for a tank up.

Funny thing happened while we were all getting fuel. A fellow sledder not on the RWC walks up to me and asks me if I am Joe Rainville. He saw my name on my bib and lets me know he is a reader of the site, but doesn't post. I invited him to log and and join the fun. The part I couldn't believe was that he didn't notice Jon, the Hays brother or the Cat crew. These were the guys I was jazzed up to be around!

Out on the trail waiting for Tim and Nick to catch up. (Just kidding guys!) This might have been when Doug Hays pulled Nick out of the woods. On the Left is our excellent guide, Bob Anderson on a 900 Fusion. Next to him is Larry Preston of Vintage sleds who had a great time riding a new Polaris. It was cool to have him join us.

In the 2nd row is JRC and to his right is none other than Roger Skime. Even at 62 Skime can ride with the best of them, and he blew by me on an F1000 several times. Doug and Stan Hays were also in our "flight" too, along with Doug Lamm and Joel Halstrom. What an honor to be in such company!

And finally the HOF inductees. It was an honor to meet CJ Ramsteads wife Karla and daughter. I had both of them sign my Cat "Legend" book, along with Ole Tweet, Chris Twomey, Roger Skime and Joel Halstrom.

This year I had a great time with the Cat guys. Joel even let me ride a new F1000 for bit while he took off on my little 440 Fanner. He was also kind enough to tell me to look him up if I go to race school in TRF this fall.

To sum up my weekend:

Joel Halstrom rode my sled, Roger Skime ate my soup, Doug Hays pulled Nick out of the woods, and I tried in vain to keep up with JRC!
