JD 600 vs 295s

Post by mgabl072 »

I am looking for various odd ball parts for a 295s restoration: seat, steel skis because I have yet to find aluminum, gas tank straps etc. Someone told me that the the JD600 had many interchangeable parts for the 295s. Is this true?

JD 600 vs 295s

Kenny,

Oh just the front gas tank straps that is standard on most early snowmobiles, at least I assume they are the same on JDX, 00 and 295s. I know I can find plenty in a junk yard up the road a piece.

I saw that JD 600 on ebay at a pretty reasonable price and I thought maybe I should just buy that for the parts I need (gas straps, seat, metal skis until I can get aluminum, a couple other miscellaneous parts).

Thanks for the interest in helping.
