What do you guys recommend for jetting for invader heads on a 83 liquifire or is the stock jetting allright? Also I know you have to adjust the timing to take full advantage of the heads so how do you do that?

Might wanna try just running stock jetting as all you are doing is raising compression. Invader carbs use entirely different jetting. Even the slides are different, 2.5 vs. 3.5. I replaced an engine in my LF with a complete invader engine (stock JD pipe) and it did pick up quicker but top end was the same. As for timing, your sled has the electronically controlled advance, and I don't have any info on timing these with invader carbs and heads. The timing on the earlier LF's is a few degrees advanced compared to the Invader to compensate for compression, ie. More compression = slower advance so as not to create detonation using lower octane gas. If you use the heads, be sure to use AT LEAST 93 octane gas as there is quite a difference in Compression ratio, and with stock timing it's gonna take some good gas to keep it from detonating. Here are some pics of the difference in the domes.. only one pic per post, I'll put the JD head pic in the next post
