What's the difference?

I've got a 75 800, the motor was a KEC440/22. It somehow was the only thing taken during a break-in at the local motor shop. I've located a KEC440/5. will this work in place of the 22?

the 22 is a reed valve motor the 5 is a piston port motor the wiring and motor mount setup are mostly the same it would be a pretty much direct bolt in however the 5 doesnt have as much power/performance but should still work ok in an 800
