Good morning guys. I was wondering if anyone has, or knows where to get the headlight dimmer switch for my 76' cyclone. I have checked dennis kirk, pats small engine plus and mfg supply with no luck.
Thanks
Matt

I have a couple on backorder with MFGsupply but do not have a date as to when they will be in.
Pat's shows them on there website under Moto-ski parts but the number if ordered comes as a kill switch so they are working on that.
DK has not hade them for several years.

Thanks for the reply JDT. How did you find them on mfg supply's web site? I looked under john deere cyclone and just under dimmer switches. Couldn't find them either way. Maybe they won't list them till they have some in stock.

They are shown as a MotoSki Dimmer Switch on Pat's website. But this same switch was used on lots of vintage brands.
Note that on some you have to move the pins on the connectors to a different terminal in order for it to work.
I always check the three pins with an ohm meter when using an aftermarket dimmer switch. Seams that Ying and Yang are always paying attention to assembly guides.
But at least they are available.

OK guys here is the skinny on dimmer switches as of 2 pm today. I have spent a lot of time on the phone the last couple of days trying to get a dozen switches.
AM52311 is not available from any JD dealer across the entire US.
Kimpex is not making switch ADKX011205 anymore. period!
Kimpex supplied these switches to SLP, Marshall, PU and LLP.
I contacted 8 parts houses and there is not a single switch to be had anywhere.
JD, CS, Grahams, Pat's, MFS, ALS, HP, DK and other have zero in inventory.
Central, as Harley mentioned above, had 200 on order for restock this coming season but Kimpex canceled that order Friday.
So now what??
Maybe one of you guys that has been repoping parts can take this and run with it.
I hope that this is not going to become a torn like Cats 72-73 switches that were dropped from aftermarket a few years back and now bring $100 when one shows up on Ebay.
Once again I am amazed that Kimpex would be so ignorant as to stop making thses switches as they were used by at least 12 brands of sleds. Scorpion , Deere, Sno-Jet, Boa-Ski, Moto-Ski and many more I am sure.
If anyone is sitting on a large lot of these I am a buyer for at least 10. PM me if your asking price is fair.

This is the picture from Pat's website.
When I talked with Central yesterday they told me that the 2009 catolog will not have ANY dimmer switches in it.
None. not even for newer sleds.
