By using a tool that looks like this ( ebay Item number: 4606865667 )
You can only remove the outer bearings, (But you really have to watch so you don't bend the crank doing so), The center bearings has to be removed & replaced by a qualified small engine crankshaft rebuilder as they take at least a 10 ton press to press apart & press back together & have to be dial indicated back together properly or the bearings will wear out the crankcase.
If you don't have the tools or the knowledge to do this type of job I'd recommend taking it to a qualified shop & have them do it, less chance of ruining a crank or even worst a motor later.

I needed bearing replaced in my 340 l/c engine... they were all shot/rusted/frozen and broke. I was told that the cost to split and rebuild the crank was a few houndred dollars!!!. In the end I bought a NOS crankshaft with all new bearing from DK-Trader for $100 (actually $90 with an ebay coupon). The point being that I see new cranks come up on ebay quite a bit for a relatively large number of JD sleds. Might also want to check ebay stores...

Now if I could just get tho motor back in the sled I be happy!

actually you need about 20 tons to do cranks 10 or 12 tons you can barely do it.

its the reassembly that darn tricky to do. i have one nos crank around packed in grease. so look around for them
