Idle Help

Decker, not sure what sled your working with but you should NEVER have to raise the cables to adjust the idle, ( that will also screw up your WOT slide position & might also make the slides open at different times IF using twin carbs)
There has to be a problem in the carb/carbs re clean & pay particular attention to the pilot jet & or the idle circuit.

Decker with out going into a whole carburetor discussion here, you need to make sure that those carb slides are DOWN or as close to al the way down as you can.
As the slide opens the signal for the idle system is reduced. Set your air jets to factory spec and then go from there.

And don?t set your idle with the cable length
The idle is set with a large screw with a spring on it on the side of the carb,. You then adjust your cable to that setting.

.Go on line and find the manual on your carburetor, it will guide you.

Good luck

the slide position didnt actually change, but the cables were from a polaris triple, and their was alot of play in them, witch led me to believe that the motor wasnt getting enough air, and thats why it was dying
