Post by ralphy »

Here is my time killer in the summer months....I found this car after searching for a few years. I wanted a rust free body, Im not big into cutting & replacing metal. This car has the original metal, interior, engine, tranny, and 9" N case rear end, 31 spline axles. I was planning on getting it painted this winter, but $$ is short. THe engine is a numbers matching 428 Cobra Jet, with a Blue Thunder intake, Holley 750 Vac sec, Comp Cams bumpstick, Diamond Pistons, CJ heads with larger valves, Harland Sharp Rockers, and balanced.. The C6 auto has a 2800 stall convertor, cheetah valve body, and other tricks.

Looking really good & tough Ralphy, & I'm not even much of a ford man.. But could you do a bunch of us a favor & take a close up picture of the round washers that is on the hood where the hood pins go through, also of the back side of them for the under hood side??

Thanks

Kenny

I dont care for K&N filters, way too loose for me. I will get some video of it idling when it gets a little warmer around here.

I used to have GM products, but after a bunch of problems, I switched to Ford and never looked back. I also like having a more rare car than a belly-button collector. Everyone & their cousin had a Camaro or Firebird at one time. I do like the 60s' Camaros' but so does 3 other people in my town of 1688. Gosh Damn Fords are pricey though, triple the prices of GM parts.

Now that is a ride man that is one of the most awesome Mustangs ever built. I can only think of the 429 KK nascar edition being any better ride. Sure you could get a Boss 302 but you have to rev the bananas out of it before it come alive like the 428 cj and scj did. I have an uncle with 2 1968 Shelby's one is a GT350 convertible and the other is a GT500 with the 428 police intersceptor. I have been around the fords all my life and I have only seen two of those cars in person in my life. That is one of my personal fav's hands down. To bad it is an automatic though the 428 4 speed with the 430 detroit locker drag pack edition was awesome. I hope you get hours of enjoyment out of that car and if you should ever need parts or want some help finding answers to hard to find questions I would gladly help. Great ride man. I had a 1970 Mach 1 Grande but I lost it when my marriage failed boy I miss that car... LMAO
