I cant believe it ! I aways seemed to me that the harder I try at something the worst I end up off, and just wish I'd let it alone in the first place. Well not today. After after school this morning, I returned the flywheel puller and got a harmonic balancer puller. Got longer bolts and some washers. By the time the flywheel poped off my new harmonic balancer tool was shot. the main bolt was pretty bent! Anyways there was some good corrosion all over in there and I air blew it off. Then got a nail file and wrapped a small peice of emery cloth around it and worked the points good, then cleaned them with rubbing alchol. and cleaned every outher corrosion part I could see, Like the inside magnets of the flywheel. Got every thing back together, shut off the lights, and saw thoes plugs just light up with spark. What a great feeling.
Thanks for all the infomation on coils, points, condensors, flywheels, necessary tools. It really paid off.

thats great glad it worked out for you. Now you see why I never buy new points and not just because Im a cheapo[well maybe] Just think now when you get your next deere with no spark it will be so much easier youll just have to buy a better puller.

Congratulations! Nothing better than pulling off a stuck flywheel or clutch.
