81 Liquifire???

Post by malone »

tried running My 80 lf today. No luck... for some reason the right side fuel line is almost dry. I dont understand how the pump could deliver to one side and not the other???

Any suggestions???
Thanks.

Me too I have put one in upside down before :wall: not either of those.. I have ridden this sled this year ... Not a whole lot but I have ridden w/out incident... I can take the fuel line off the carb when its running and the fuel barely comes out. Whats weird is that if I let it idle for a while the line will get somewhat filled up. then it goes for a while... It is really weird what this thing is doing. I have never experienced anything like this. when I get it to go it is very jerky. loses power and then regains power. like i am pumping the throttle but I am not. it is almost like it is electrical.. but Evertything is stock and connected good. the cylinder that has week flow is also significantly cooler than the pto side cyl.

Are the plug wires on these 80's coils replaceable.. I know some screw on??

Thanks

Dave

I have taken this pump apart and it is very simple inside: as I am sure u know... the 2 delivery ports are in one single chamber inside the pump diaphram. how can it pump more to one than the other?? I know nothing that big could get through the 2 fuel filters. I have put allot of hours of riding on this sled just the way it is..Or the way it was before it started acting up. I :wall: :wall: :wall: Just dont get this one!!

Do not run the sled like this as it is hard on the engine,r&r the pump before you go any farther it dosent cost much for a kit so try that first
