Afraid that the economy has been so massaged over the past 8 years trying to avoid a recession that now we're getting hit that much harder.

Apparently we are in Canada. Price just jumped 3 cents a liter. A quick conversion makes it at $3.37 a US gallon

Paul I know that things are bad and may get worse. Cash is not flowing much at all. Credit is dried up.
Prices are wild for groceries. Milk price is half what is was 6 months ago but still $4 a gallon at the store.
Main street business are in trouble. Gas is going up again.
Button down the hatches and ride out the storm. What choice do we have?

I feel ya Paul. I have worked for supervalu in the grocery business for almost five years now part time while going to school. I recently transferred to a new store in Madison, but a recent store closing has lead higher seniority transfers to come the the store I am at and take all the hours. I was able to get Sunday hours before because it is time and a half, but now I am only able to get every other sunday really taking a toll on my income. Being I am paying my way through school with student loans, and paying for my apartment out of pocket, money has been tight for me, which is why I just recently sold my 80 LF. Hopefully it gets better soon!

http://www.nedland.com/home/ This Is were I work, 12 years served.. of a Life sentence.
We cut back to 32 hours three weeks ago, Half the plant on full lay off.. about 25 people. The boss always brags that there will always be Garbage so there will always be garbage cans. That might be true but we have never been this slow. Looks like the whole place will have to shut down soon if orders don't start coming in. The last off the ones who got layed off said they were told it would be for a couple of months.
I got a woodworking shop here at my home and if I get laid off I got stuff I can do out there. I make Turkey calls as a Hobby.

Things are always slow in Jan/Feb/March for us, so we normally cut back anyway. When April/May comes around, we'll see how things really are in the concert business.
